Overall Privacy Statement
Your privacy on the Internet is of the utmost importance to us. Because we gather certain types of information about the users of ecommStats sites and services, we feel you should fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather, how we use it, and how to correct or change it.
ecommStats has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website, www.ecommStats.com, and the ecommStats applications.
Information Collection and Use
ecommStats is the sole owner of the information collected on this site.
We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different
from what is disclosed in this statement. ecommStats collects information
from our users at several different points on our website.
Registration
In order to use this website, a user must first complete the registration
form. During registration a user is required to give their contact information
(such as name and email address). This information is used to contact
the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed
interest. It is optional for the user to provide demographic information
(such as income level and gender), and unique identifiers (such as social
security number), but encouraged so we can provide a more personalized
experience on our site.
IP Address
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and
to administer our Web site. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally
identifiable. This means that a users session will be tracked, but the
user will be anonymous.
Use of Cookies
We use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests. A cookie
is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when
you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID
that the site uses to track the pages you've visited. But the only personal
information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A
cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created
by other sites. ecommStats uses cookies in the following instances:
- to store your login information (company login name and user login name,
NOT your password) when you register and/or login.
- to store preference information for usability and this is completely
optional.
Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (like their name and email address). The customer's contact information is used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below.
This site contains links to other sites. ecommStats is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.
Co-Branded Sites
ecommStats sites which are co-branded will only share your registration
information with the co-branding partner. Most of this information will
be shared with us from the co-branding partner initially. No information
relating specifically to the ecommStats applications will be shared (ie:
contact information, calendar information, etc).
Partner Sites
Partner sites will never be given access to any of your data that ecommStats
stores unless the user agrees to the information exchange.
Public Forums
This site makes chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups
available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed
in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution
when deciding to disclose your personal information.
Security
This website takes every precaution to protect our users+óGé¼Gäó information.
When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information
is protected both online and off-line.
When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just "surfing". To learn more about SSL, follow this link http://home.netscape.com/security/techbriefs/ssl.html.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers+óGé¼Gäó information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment, behind a locked cage.
If you have any questions about the security at our website, you can send an email to security@ecommstats.com.
Choice/Opt-Out
Our site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications
from us and our partners at the point where we request information about
the visitor.
This site gives users the following options for removing their information from our database to not receive future communications or to no longer receive our service.
- By logging into ecommStats and going to the options screen, the user can then deactivate their information.
Correct/Update
This site gives users the following options for changing and modifying
information previously provided.
- By logging into ecommStats and going to the options screen, the user can then deactivate their information.
Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes
on our Homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect,
how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at
any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner
different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify
users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not
we use their information in this different manner. We will use information
in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was
collected.

Overall Security Statement
It is ecommStats's goal to ensure that your information will be transmitted across the web with the highest degree of security possible. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology at 128 bits, when you choose to do so, which encrypts sensitive information such as your name, address, phone number, creditcard etc. During any transactions, the server is properly identified with your browser and the information is encrypted before your personal and credit card information is transmitted.
All of the information transmitted to ecommStats is stored safely and securely behind our firewall. A firewall is a buffer that isolates our network from the Internet.
At ecommStats, we constantly monitor our Web security in order to protect your information. Once your information is received at ecommStats, access to your information is limited. Each ecommStats employee is provided with a copy of this document so that they are aware of our privacy practices.
Please note: Some corporate firewalls do not support secure-SSL transmissions. If you experience problems when trying to connect using the Secure Sockets Layer(SSL), please contact your internet administrator and confirm if your corporate firewall supports SSL.
